What does GLM ask of a team that Bolt does not?
Tooling that already exists, and someone to own a configuration. GLM's plan feeds clients such as Claude Code, so its value assumes those clients are in daily use; the self-hosted route adds serving infrastructure on top of that. Bolt asks only for a browser and a description, which is why the two readers rarely meet.
Where do both leave production quality?
With your engineers, deliberately. Bolt's output is real code that still needs security, error handling and integration depth before real users.
