Only partially. Export covers the frontend, and ZIP or GitHub export is a paid-tier feature; the backend, authentication, data and business logic stay behind Base44's SDK on Base44's servers. Claude Code inverts this completely: there is nothing to export, because everything it writes was in your repository from the first diff.
Which fits a founder who cannot code at all?
Base44, without much contest. It is built for people who never want to configure a server, and editing continues visually after the first prompt. Claude Code assumes an engineer's judgement: it works from written briefs and returns multi-file diffs that someone has to read, test and merge, which is not a beginner's on-ramp.
Is there a stage where a team uses both?
Yes, at the handover. A common path is validating an idea on Base44, then rebuilding it as owned code once the product justifies engineers, and Claude Code accelerates precisely that rebuild.
