Common questions
Which is better for writing quality?
Claude, by reputation and in most side-by-side use: its prose reads more considered and needs less editing for tone. Gemini writes competently and wins when the writing rests on very long source material or research it can ground in search. For work where the words themselves are judged, start with Claude.
Which handles more context?
Gemini leads on raw context capacity and comfortably holds book-length material in one session. Claude handles very long documents well and tends to reason more carefully within what it holds. If your bottleneck is sheer volume of source text, Gemini; if it is the quality of conclusions drawn, Claude.
Can either replace my Google tools?
Neither replaces them, but Gemini lives inside them: Docs, Gmail and Sheets gain AI without new vendors or workflow changes. Claude stays a destination you bring work to, which suits deep sessions better than in-document assistance. If Workspace-native assistance is the requirement, that decides it for Gemini.
