Does Mistral Vibe close the gap on hard reasoning work?
Not on the evidence in our own cells, and the honest framing is that they are optimised for different things. Claude is built for complex knowledge work where reasoning, writing and synthesis matter more than a quick generic response. Mistral Vibe covers the everyday assistant workload well. A dense analytical brief is Claude's ground; a routine one is comfortably either.
What does Artifacts change in practice?
It changes where the output lives. Substantial work goes into a separate editable workspace rather than arriving as chat text, so reports, code, visualisations and lightweight applications can be built and refined alongside the conversation. For anyone whose deliverable is a document rather than an answer, that is a workflow difference rather than a feature.
