Common questions
What does citation-strict actually mean?
That the tool declines to know more than the corpus. NotebookLM does not wander to the open web unless asked to find sources, answers jump to the passage they rest on, and nothing arrives from model imagination. The cost is symmetrical: general knowledge beyond the sources gets nothing, and a flawed corpus produces well-cited flawed answers, faithfully.

NotebookLM's confidentiality terms need reading against client obligations before privileged documents load, and its premium capacity arrives with Google's paid AI plans. Claude's personal plans can use conversations for training depending on settings, so client and company work belongs on its commercial plans. Neither caveat is unusual; both are decisive for regulated work.
